SECTION 36-4-56

   § 36-4-56  Penalties for violations. –Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter or chapter 3 of thistitle, or of the rules established in accordance with these chapters, shall bedeemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined notmore than five hundred dollars ($500) or be imprisoned for not more than sixty(60) days or both. Any person holding a position in the classified service soconvicted shall be dismissed from the service immediately.
