SECTION 36-6-4
§ 36-6-4 Subordinates in state agencies.– The director of a department or the head of any other agency of the state shallappoint such assistants and other subordinates as he or she may deem necessarywithin the amounts appropriated therefor and shall fix their respectivesalaries.
