SECTION 36-6-5
§ 36-6-5 Manner of compensation prescribedby appropriation law. – All officials and employees shall be compensated in the manner provided by theannual appropriation act or as may hereafter otherwise be prescribed by law.This section shall not apply to the directors of the several departments of thestate of Rhode Island or to the general officers of the state of Rhode Islandwhose salaries shall be fixed by the general assembly.
