SECTION 36-9-22

   § 36-9-22  Cessation of membership. –If any member becomes a beneficiary, dies, or receives a refund ofcontributions, he or she shall thereupon cease to be a member, subject,however, to the provisions of § 36-10-8 in regard to reinstatement ofmembership in the case of a member who has received a refund and who hassubsequently reentered the service of the state.
