SECTION 36-9-37

   § 36-9-37  Purchase of credit while servinga prison sentence – Prohibited. – Notwithstanding any other provisions of the retirement law or rulings of theretirement board in accordance with the powers vested to the board, no memberof the retirement system shall be allowed to purchase service credits for timewhile incarcerated in prison, including, but not limited to, work releaseprograms or home confinement programs.
