SECTION 37-2-5

   § 37-2-5  Severability – Constructionagainst implicit repealer. – (a) If any provision of this chapter or application thereof to any person orcircumstance is held invalid, that invalidity shall not affect other provisionsor applications of this chapter which can be given effect without the invalidprovision or application, and to that end the provisions of this chapter aredeclared to be severable.

   (b) Since this chapter is a general act intended to providemodel coverage of its subject matter, no part of it shall be deemed to beimpliedly repealed by subsequent legislation.
