SECTION 37-2-65

   § 37-2-65  Public announcement of neededarchitectural, engineering or consultant services – Public agency. –The purchasing officer of the public agency shall give public notice of theneed for architectural, engineering, or consultant services which arereasonably estimated to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000). The publicnotice shall be published sufficiently in advance of the date when responsesmust be received in order that interested parties have an adequate opportunityto submit a statement of qualifications and performance data. The notice shallcontain a brief statement of the services required, describe the project, andspecify how a solicitation containing specific information on the project maybe obtained. The notice shall be published in a newspaper of generalcirculation in the state and in such other publications as in the judgment ofthe committee shall be desirable.
