SECTION 37-6-1.2

   § 37-6-1.2  Training requirements. –The committee shall conduct a training course for newly appointed and qualifiedmembers within six (6) months of their qualification or designation. The courseshall be developed by the chair of the committee, be approved by the committee,and be conducted by the chair of the committee. The committee may approve theuse of any committee and/or staff member and/or individuals to assist withtraining. The training course shall include instruction in the following areas:the provisions of chapters 42-46, 36-14 and 38-2; and the committee's rules andregulations. The director of the department of administration shall, withinninety (90) days of the effective date of this act [July 7, 2006],prepare and disseminate training materials relating to the provisions ofchapters 42-46, 36-14, and 38-2.
