§ 37-6-21.1 - Expediting proceedings.

SECTION 37-6-21.1

   § 37-6-21.1  Expediting proceedings. –In any proceedings for the assessment of damages for real property so taken bythe state under the provisions of this chapter, at any time during the pendencyof the action or proceeding, the state or owner may apply to the court for anorder directing the owner or state, as the case may be, to show cause why thefurther proceeding should not be expedited. The court may upon application makean order requiring that the hearings proceed and that any other steps be takenwith all possible expedition, and all the court actions shall have precedenceon the calendar and shall continue to have precedence on the calendar on aday-to-day basis until the matter is heard.
