SECTION 37-6-9

   § 37-6-9  Acceptance of conveyances bytreasurer. – The general treasurer is hereby directed, authorized, and empowered, with theapproval of the acquiring authority, and subject to the approval of the stateproperties committee and of the governor, to receive, take title to, and holdin trust for the state, exempt from taxation, any gift, grant, or devise oflands or interests, estates, or rights, therein made for the purposes of thischapter.
