SECTION 39-1-5

   § 39-1-5  Removal of commissioner fromoffice. – Commissioners may at any time be removed from office by the governor forinefficiency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance in office, but no commissionershall be removed from office without an opportunity to be heard, publiclybefore the governor and after being given notice in writing of the chargesagainst him or her. A copy of the charges and a transcript of the record of thehearing shall be filed with the secretary of state.
