§ 39-21-3 - Personnel.
SECTION 39-21-3
§ 39-21-3 Personnel. – (a) The governor shall appoint an associate director of the E-911 uniformemergency telephone system division who shall direct the affairs of thedivision. The division may employ technical experts and other officers, agents,and attorneys and fix their qualifications, duties, and compensation. Theassociate director and the technical experts, officers, agents, and attorneysso employed shall be in the unclassified service of the state. The division mayemploy other employees, permanent and temporary, and the employees shall be inthe unclassified service of the state. The division may delegate to one or moreof its agents or employees such administrative duties as it may deem proper.
(b) The department of administration shall furnish thedivision with suitable offices and telephone service in the state house, stateoffice building, or some other location, for the transaction of business.
