SECTION 39-8-10

   § 39-8-10  Failure to maintain flag personor precautionary appliances. – Every railroad corporation which shall refuse or neglect to comply with anorder, or with a confirmation of such order upon appeal, shall, for every day'sneglect after seven (7) days from the date of the service of the order upon thepresident, treasurer, or any director of the corporation, forfeit five hundreddollars ($500), one half (1/2) thereof to the use of the state and one half(1/2) thereof to the use of the city or town where the crossing is located.
