SECTION 39-8-7

   § 39-8-7  Town or city regulation of speedand manner of operation. – The town and city councils of the several towns and cities shall have power,from time to time, to make reasonable rules and regulations with reference tothe rate of speed and mode of operation of railroads in the streets andhighways of the respective towns and cities; the rules and regulations mustreceive the approval in writing of the division of public utilities andcarriers.
