SECTION 4-1-39

   § 4-1-39  Transport and shelter of horses.– (a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a person may not transport orshelter, or cause or allow to be transported or sheltered any equine animal inor upon any trailer, conveyance or other vehicle whatsoever with two (2) ormore levels stacked on top of one another.

   (b) Any person who violates the provisions of this sectionshall be subject to a fine of not less than five hundred dollars ($500) peranimal for a first offense, and subject to a fine of at least one thousanddollars ($1,000) per animal for all second and subsequent offenses.
