SECTION 4-5-5

   § 4-5-5  Sale of carcasses of condemnedanimals. – The director of environmental management is authorized to sell the carcass ofany animal killed as tuberculous, when in the opinion of the board ofappraisers that sale should be permitted. The proceeds of that sale shall bepaid to the owner of the animal killed in accordance with this chapter, afterdeducting from those proceeds the cost of slaughtering or transporting theanimal to a slaughterhouse and other expenses incident to the killing andselling of the animal.
