§ 4-8-2 - License required – Application.

SECTION 4-8-2

   § 4-8-2  License required –Application. – No person, firm, association, or corporation shall buy milk or cream in thestate from producers for consumption or for manufacture in the state, unlessthat business is regularly transacted at an office or station in the state andunless that person, firm, association, or corporation is licensed as providedin this chapter. Every person, firm, association, or corporation, beforeengaging or continuing in the business of buying milk or cream for the statedpurposes, shall annually, on or before June 1st, file an application with thedirector of environmental management for a license to transact that business.The application shall state the nature of the business, the full name of theperson or corporation applying for the license, and, if the applicant is a firmor association, the full name of each member of that firm, or association, thecity or town and street number at which the business is to be conducted, andany other facts as the director prescribes. The applicant shall further satisfythe director of his, her, or its character, financial responsibility and goodfaith in seeking to carry on the business.
