SECTION 40.1-1-5

   § 40.1-1-5  Reorganizations withindepartment. – Notwithstanding any other provisions of law, any division, bureau, or otherunit or agency within the department of mental health, retardation, andhospitals, however entitled or described, may at any time be reorganized,divided, consolidated, abolished or otherwise reconstituted by the director ofmental health, retardation, and hospitals, with the approval of the governor,as may be desirable for the proper administration and performance of thepowers, functions and duties assigned to the department and any such changeshall conform with the requirements of § 40.1-1-4.
