SECTION 40.1-21-9

   § 40.1-21-9  Transfer of records. –Unless otherwise expressly provided by this chapter, the head of a department,division, or other administrative agency, whose functions, powers, and dutiesare assigned and transferred by this chapter to the department of mentalhealth, retardation, and hospitals, shall deliver to the department of mentalhealth, retardation, and hospitals all contracts, books, maps, plans, papers,records, and property of every description which is within the jurisdiction orcontrol of the head of a department, division, or other administrative agency.The director of mental health, retardation, and hospitals is hereby authorizedto take possession thereof.
