SECTION 40.1-5.3-2

   § 40.1-5.3-2  Transfers to and from generalwards. – Whenever any person committed, transferred, or removed to the facility providedfor in § 40.1-5.3-1 shall have recovered his or her mental healthsufficiently to be cared for in the general wards of the institute of mentalhealth, the director may, upon request of the superintendent of the statehospital, transfer the person to the general wards of the state hospital, andretransfer him or her to the facility provided for in § 40.1-5.3-1 upon alike request.
