SECTION 40.1-5-18

   § 40.1-5-18  Confidentiality of informationreceived. – The mental health advocate, his or her assistants, and every employee of his orher office are hereby expressly prohibited from divulging to any individual notofficially connected with his or her office any information obtained by themental health advocate, his or her assistants or any employee of that office inthe regular course of their duty or from any financial statement submitted fromthe permanent records of that office, which would reveal any of the informationrelative to the financial status of any person submitting a financialstatement; every request for information directed to the mental health advocateshall be denied if the request would necessitate that individual to divulge anyinformation which is herein declared to be held confidential by the mentalhealth advocate.
