SECTION 40.1-5-19

   § 40.1-5-19  False statements andrepresentations. – Whoever knowingly makes a false statement or representation to the mentalhealth advocate, his or her assistants or any employee of his or her office toobtain the legal services of the mental health advocate or one of his or herassistants under this chapter, either for him or herself or for any otherperson, shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not less than fiftydollars ($50.00) nor more than three hundred dollars ($300), or by imprisonmentnot longer than thirty (30) days, or both a fine and imprisonment; and eachfalse statement or representation shall constitute a separate and distinctoffense.
