§ 40-1-12 - "Displaced homemaker" defined. - Rhode Island Statutes

SECTION 40-1-12

   § 40-1-12  "Displaced homemaker" defined.– As used in this chapter, unless the context requires otherwise, "displacedhomemaker" means a person who:

   (1) Worked in the home for a substantial number of yearsproviding unpaid household services for family members;

   (2) Who is not gainfully employed;

   (3) Has or would have difficulty in securing employment; and

   (4) Was dependent on the income of another family member butis no longer supported by such income, or was dependent on assistance from thestate or federal government but is no longer eligible for assistance forreasons other than willful failure to comply with rules and regulations.
