SECTION 40-1-6

   § 40-1-6  Officers required to be veterans.– The respective officers appointed by the director of human services to be incharge of the state's administration of veterans' relief, of graves'registration, and the commandant and the assistant commandant of the RhodeIsland veterans' home, in addition to any other qualifications required fortheir respective positions as already provided in law, shall each be anhonorably discharged war veteran of any war in which the United States has beenengaged.
