§ 40-14.1-3 - Eligibility for services. - Rhode Island Statutes

SECTION 40-14.1-3

   § 40-14.1-3  Eligibility for services.– Services available under this chapter may be provided to any person who meetsthe following criteria:

   (1) Has made application therefor to the director of thedepartment of human services in a manner prescribed by the director;

   (2) Has a physical or mental impairment that substantiallylimits one or more major life activities;

   (3) Who is or would be enabled by assistive technologydevices or services to increase, maintain or improve a level of functioning indaily living and/or vocational functioning; and

   (4) Has not sufficient income or resources, including beingavailable from other sources, to meet the cost of any or all of the servicesdescribed in § 40-14.1-2, determination of such insufficiency to be madeby the division of community services of the department of human services.
