SECTION 40-2-3

   § 40-2-3  Application of funds deposited tocare and treatment of residents. – The director of the department of human services shall apply any funds now orhereafter deposited in the name of any discharged or deceased patient or inmatein any institution under the control of the department of human services aspartial or full payment, as the case may be, for the care and treatment of thepatient or inmate.
