SECTION 40-8.2-7

   § 40-8.2-7  False statements made to gaincertification. – Whoever knowingly and willfully makes or causes to be made, or induces, orseeks to induce the making of any false statement or representation of amaterial fact with respect to the conditions or operation of any institution orfacility in order that the institution or facility may qualify (either uponinitial certification or upon recertification) as a hospital, skilled nursingfacility, intermediate care facility, or home health agency, shall be guilty ofa misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than fivehundred dollars ($500) or imprisoned for not more than six (6) months, or both.
