   § 40-8-23  Contracting standards. –The director shall establish and maintain contracting standards for home healthaide, homemaker, and nursing services. These standards shall apply to all suchservices purchased by the state from licensed providers. The contractingstandards shall take into consideration industry guidelines published bynational accreditation organizations such as the Joint Commission for theAccreditation of Healthcare Organizations and self reporting activities byproviders.
