SECTION 40-9-11.3

   § 40-9-11.3  Provision for vending machinesin buildings purchased or leased by state. – Whenever any department, agency, or instrumentality of the state shallundertake to acquire by ownership, rent, lease, or to otherwise occupy, inwhole or in part, any building, the department, agency, or instrumentalityshall make all reasonable attempts to assure that the building includes asatisfactory site or sites for the location and operation of a vending facilityby a person who is blind or visually impaired. Each department, agency, orinstrumentality is hereby encouraged to provide timely notice to the directorof human services that the acquisition, construction, or renovation of thebuilding is planned in order to permit appropriate planning, selection, andpreparation of the site or sites by the state services for people who are blindor visually impaired.
