§ 41-5-18 Betting prohibited. – Whoever bets or wagers or sells pools on any boxing or sparring match orexhibition shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars($100), or by imprisonment for not less than three (3) months, or by both afine and imprisonment.
