   § 41-5-3.6  Substitutions. – (a) No substitution of boxers may be made within twenty-three (23) hours of thestarting time for the first event in the boxing or sparring match orexhibition. If one or more of the boxers listed on the licensee's applicationfails to appear for his or her examination in the office of the division ofracing and athletics as prescribed in § 41-5-11, or to enter the ring andperform, and substitution is not permitted under this section or any othersection of this chapter, the contest or contests in which the boxer or boxerswere to appear shall be cancelled and notice of the cancellation shall be madeto the public at the earliest practicable time.

   (b) Any person who paid an admission fee prior to the makingof the notice shall, at his or her election, be entitled to an immediate refundof the admission fee unless the principal draw in the match or exhibitionappeared and performed prior to the making of the notice.
