SECTION 41-9.1-13
§ 41-9.1-13 State lottery division andother approvals necessary for construction of casino. – (a) No casino licensed under this chapter shall open for operation until thestate lottery division and all appropriate state agencies have received andapproved certification from the Town of West Warwick that all casinoconstruction has complied with all applicable provisions of this chapter, anyregulations promulgated thereunder, and applicable state and local law, as wellas with all provisions of the development agreement.
(b) So long as the Town of West Warwick is actively seekingauthorization to amend its comprehensive plan to include a casino development,authority is hereby granted to the casino licensee to proceed with theconstruction of the casino development approved by the voters in the state andlocal referendum election pursuant to § 41-9.1-9; subject to the receiptof any and all municipal approvals.
