   § 41-9.1-39  Declaration of state'sexemption from operation of provisions of 15 U.S.C. § 1172. – Pursuant to section 2 of that certain chapter of the Congress of the UnitedStates entitled "An act to prohibit transportation of gaming devices ininterstate and foreign commerce", approved January 2, 1951, being c. 1194, 64Stat. 1134, and also designated as 15 U.S.C. §§ 1171-1177, the stateof Rhode Island, acting by and through its duly elected and qualified membersof its legislature, does hereby in this section, and in accordance with and incompliance with the provisions of section 2 of such chapter of Congress,declare and proclaim that any town or city of the State of Rhode Island, withinwhich gaming is authorized is exempt from the provisions of section 2 of thatcertain chapter of the Congress of the United States entitled "An act toprohibit transportation of gaming devices in interstate and foreign commerce",designated 15 U.S.C. §§ 1171-1177, approved January 2, 1951.
