§ 41-9.1-8 - Casino gaming authorized.
SECTION 41-9.1-8
§ 41-9.1-8 Casino gaming authorized.– (a) Notwithstanding any other section of Rhode Island General Laws, gaming isauthorized at a single casino in the state of Rhode Island to the extent thatit is conducted in accordance with this chapter.
(b) This chapter does not apply to any of the following:
(1) The pari-mutuel system of wagering used or intended to beused in connection with race meetings as authorized under chapters 3.1 and 4 ofthis title.
(2) Lottery games authorized under chapters 61 and 61.2 oftitle 42; including, without limitation, video lottery terminals located atNewport Grand and Lincoln Greyhound Park.
(3) Bingo.
(4) The pari-mutuel system of wagering used or intended to beused in connection with jai alai as authorized under chapter 7 of this title.
(5) The pari-mutuel system of wagering used or intended to beused in connection with Simulcast programs from licensed betting facilities asauthorized under chapter 11 of this title.
