SECTION 42-10-9

   § 42-10-9  Custodian of state property.– The general treasurer shall, except as otherwise provided, personally attend tohis or her official duties; he or she shall be the keeper of the certificatesof stocks, notes, and other evidences of property belonging to the permanentschool fund and the Touro fund, and of all other property belonging to thestate or held by the state in trust; and he or she shall collect the dividends,interest, and income arising from the above mentioned property, and shalldispose of them according to law.
