SECTION 42-109-2

   § 42-109-2  Declaration of purpose. –In recognition of the growing problem of substance use and abuse in the state,the purpose of this chapter is as follows:

   (a) To encourage comprehensive substance abuse preventionprograms throughout the state;

   (b) To encourage cooperation between state agencies andmunicipalities in planning, establishing, and operating substance abuseprograms; and

   (c) To provide additional financial assistance on a statewidebasis for drug abuse prevention programs.
