   § 42-113-9  Stewardship. – If an activity funded by the board involves acquisition by the state of aninterest in real property for the purpose of conserving and protectingimportant natural areas, recreational lands, or agricultural land, the board,in its discretion may make a one-time grant to the appropriate state agency ormunicipality. The grant shall not exceed ten percent (10%) of the currentappraised value of that property interest and shall be used to support itsproper management or maintenance or both.
