   § 42-12.1-4  Management of institutions.– The department of mental health, retardation, and hospitals shall have themanagement, supervision, and control of the Eleanor Slater Hospital and suchother functions as have been or may be assigned. The department also shalloperate, maintain, and repair the buildings, grounds, and other physicalproperty at those institutions, other than the roads and driveways, which shallbe under the care and supervision of the department of transportation.
