§ 42-128-12 - Coordination with other state agencies.

SECTION 42-128-12

   § 42-128-12  Coordination with other stateagencies. – State agencies, departments, authorities, corporations, boards, commissions,and political subdivisions shall cooperate with the commission in the conductof its activities, and specifically: the Rhode Island historical preservationand heritage commission shall advise the commission on issues of historicalpreservation standards as they pertain to housing and the use of historicalpreservation programs to improve housing and to enhance community character;the statewide planning program, created pursuant to § 42-11-10, shalladvise the commission on issues of planning in general and land use controlsand shall revise the state guide plan, as necessary, to achieve consistencywith official state plans and policies for housing adopted by the commission,and the department of business regulation shall advise the commission on issuesof business regulation affecting housing, shall review its regulations andpractices to determine any amendments, changes, or additions which might beappropriate to advance the purposes of this chapter, and shall designate anofficial within the department to serve as liaison to, and the contact personfor, the commission on issues related to housing.
