SECTION 42-14.4-1

   § 42-14.4-1  Definitions. – As used in this chapter:

   (1) "Apartment" means any house or building or portion of ahouse or building which is rented, leased, or hired out to be occupied as ahome or residence by one or more persons;

   (2) "Apartment listing service" means any person,partnership, or corporation who, in exchange for a fee permits a customer toinspect or otherwise utilize a listing of apartments for rent;

   (3) "Customer" means any person who pays a fee to anapartment listing service for assistance in obtaining an apartment rental;

   (4) "Listing" means any oral or written communicationconcerning a specific apartment for rent; and

   (5) "Person" means any individual, association, partnership,or corporation.
