§ 42-140.1-6 - Additional general powers.

SECTION 42-140.1-6

   § 42-140.1-6  Additional general powers.– In order to effectuate its powers and duties the council has the followingpowers:

   (a) To make any studies of conditions, activities, orproblems related to the state's energy needs, usage, and supplies to carry outits responsibilities.

   (b) To adopt amend bylaws, to establish committees, to electand/or appoint officers and agents, and to engage consultants and professionalservices as necessary and appropriate to fulfill its purposes.

   (c) To accept and administer grants from the federalgovernment and from other sources, public or private, for the carrying out ofany of its functions, which loans or grants shall not be expended for otherthan the purposes for which provided.

   (d) To work with the appropriate federal, regional, and stateagencies, and private entities.

   (e) To apply for, accept and expend allocations, grants andbequests of funds, for the purpose of carrying out the lawful responsibilitiesof the council.
