§ 42-144-1 - Commission established.
SECTION 42-144-1
§ 42-144-1 Commission established. –There shall be a University of Rhode Island Commission for Research andInnovation ("Commission") to consist of nine (9) members: two (2) of whom shallbe appointed by the governor, with one of those so appointed to be designatedby the governor as chair; one of whom shall be appointed by the board ofgovernor's for higher education; one of whom shall be appointed by thepresident of the University of Rhode Island; three (3) of whom shall be membersof the science and technology advisory council as established by executiveorder 05-07; one of whom shall be appointed by the speaker of the house ofrepresentatives; and one of whom shall be appointed by the president of thesenate. The membership of said commission shall receive no compensation fortheir services.
