SECTION 42-16.1-7

   § 42-16.1-7  Appointment of board members.– In January of each odd-numbered year, the governor shall submit to the senatethe name of a person to act as a member of the board of review to succeed themember of the board whose term will next expire, and to hold office for a termof six (6) years and until his or her successor is appointed and qualified.Whenever the governor shall submit any name to the senate, the senate maywithin twelve (12) legislative days confirm or reject that appointment. If thesenate shall fail for twelve (12) legislative days after the submission toconfirm the appointment, the governor shall submit another appointment and soon in like manner until the senate shall confirm the person named by thegovernor; however, terms of current members of the board of review shall not bealtered by this act.
