   § 42-17.1-5  Deputy director –Assistant directors and heads of divisions. – There shall be a deputy director for environmental quality in the unclassifiedservice and appointed by the governor, and an assistant director foroperations, an assistant director for regulation, an assistant director forlegal services, and an assistant director for administration, all of whom shallbe in the classified service; and a head of each of the divisions of thedepartment, all of whom shall be in the classified service.
