   § 42-17.2-8  Orders. – If, after investigation, the department finds that a violation of any of therules, regulations, or codes exists, or that there is a condition in passengertramway construction, operation or maintenance endangering the safety of thepublic, it shall forthwith issue its written order setting forth its findings,the corrective action to be taken, and fixing a reasonable time for compliancetherewith. The order shall be served upon the operator involved by registeredmail and shall become final unless the operator applies to the board for ahearing in the manner provided in chapter 35 of this title with the right ofappeal as therein specified.
