   § 42-20-12  Law violation prosecutions– Exemption from costs bond. – Complaints for the violation of the provisions of any general law or public lawor any rule or regulation thereunder may be made by the head of any departmentor a person duly designated by him or her having proper jurisdiction thereof,and the department head or person duly designated by him or her shall be exemptfrom giving surety for costs in any such complaint.
