§ 42-28.1-1 Incentive pay plan. – There is hereby established an incentive pay program in accordance with theprovisions hereof, offering financial compensation to members of the state,city, town police departments, sheriffs and deputy sheriffs, members of theRhode Island marshals' unit, Rhode Island capitol police and the state firemarshal and deputy fire marshals of the Rhode Island division of fire safetyfor college education credits in the field of police work.
