SECTION 42-28.8-5

   § 42-28.8-5  Contents of report on amissing child. – A law enforcement agency in which a complaint of a missing child has been filedshall prepare a report on a missing person. That report shall include, but isnot limited to, the following:

   (1) All information contained in the complaint on a missingperson on forms prescribed by the superintendent of the Rhode Island statepolice.

   (2) All information or evidence which shall be gathered by animmediate preliminary investigation.

   (3) A statement by the law enforcement officer in charge,setting forth that officer's assessment of the case based upon all evidence andinformation received.

   (4) An explanation of the next steps to be taken by the lawenforcement agency filing the report.
