SECTION 42-28-20
§ 42-28-20 Attorney general as legaladvisor. – The attorney general shall act as the legal advisor of the members of thedivision in all matters pertaining to their official duties, and shallprosecute all suits and proceedings which they may be authorized to commence,and shall appear for and defend them in all suits and proceedings which may bebrought against any one of them in his or her official capacity, except at ahearing upon removal.
