SECTION 42-28-6

   § 42-28-6  Superintendent's bond –Reports. – Before entering upon the duties of his or her office, the superintendent shallfile with the secretary of state a bond to the state of Rhode Island in the sumof ten thousand dollars ($10,000) with a surety or sureties to be approved bythe general treasurer conditioned upon the faithful performance of his or herduties, and the premium on that bond shall be paid out of the appropriation forexpenses of the division. The superintendent shall annually in the month ofJanuary make a report to the general assembly showing the activities of thedivision and shall also make such reports to the governor concerning thedivision as the governor shall request.
